Woosong Educational Foundation is seeking a qualified candidate to teach children aged 3 to 5 years at its new English-language kindergarten located on the west campus of Woosong University, in Daejeon, South Korea.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Native English speaker from Australia, Canada, Ireland, N.Z, South Africa, U.K, or the USA
- A licensed or certified kindergarten teacher or early childhood education specialist
- 2 or more years experience in an early childhood education related field
- Preference is for female candidates between the ages of 27 and 35
- English/Korean bilingual teachers are especially encouraged to apply
JOB DESCRIPTION
Kindergarten and pre-Kindergarten teacher
- Teaching young children aged 3 to 5 years of age at an international school.
- Prepare and deliver classes to students according to an approved core curriculum, based on international early learning standards.
- Participate in monthly field trips organized by the school.
- Teaching hours are Monday to Friday between 2PM and 6PM, with occasional additional activities
STARTING SALARY
- Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience.
BENEFITS
- Relocation allowance of W40,000 per diem for up to seven days (payable with
first pay check)
- Air fare allowance (an additional W300,000 with your first pay check and W700,000 upon contract completion) for first year teachers
- Housing: Rent-free partially furnished apartment close to the campus (single or family accommodation is available).
- Vacation – 5 weeks (3 in the summer and 2 in the winter)
- Medical / Dental: National Health Insurance plan approximately W45,000 per month
- Private Pension Fund approximately W100,000 – 125,000 per month
- Free Korean language classes
CONTRACT PERIOD
- One year contract starting in March 2013.
