The School of Language Education(SLE) at Gyeongsang National University (GNU) in Jinju, South Korea is looking for instructors for the 2013 Summer English Camp and our University.

*Camp Instructor
Gyeongsang National University(GNU) welcomes applications from camp instructors who want to teach at the 2013 Summer English Camp. Students range from elementary school to middle school.
1) Camp Period:
3weeks course - July 29th, 2013 - August 17th, 2013
4weeks course - July 29th, 2013 - August 24th, 2013
* Instructor orientation is scheduled for July 27, 28. All teachers must attend a mandatory orientation.
(Date is subject to change.)
2) Payment:
3weeks course ¨C 3,150,000 won before taxed
4weeks course ¨C 4,200,000 won before taxed
* Selected applicants have to cover their own travel expenses.
3) A Volume of Recruitment: 10~15 people
4) Applicant Requirements:
- BA or BS degree
- Camp teacher experiences preferred
- K-12 teaching experience preferred
- TESOL, TEFL, CELTA/RSA certificates preferred

8) Food and Lodging: 3 meals a day and on-campus dormitory accommodation will be provided free of charge by the university.
9) Timetable:
-Morning class is duty of teachers during this camp(morning exercise)
-During the week (Mon-Fri), classes start at 9a.m. and continue until 8p.m. During this time there is classroom instruction and fun outdoor activities (sports, games and movies etc).
-On Saturdays the students take tests(oral & written), and short plays/skits are performed. Saturday classes finish at 3p.m.(Finish time is subject to change) Sundays are free.

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: September 1, 2013 ~ August 31, 2014 (one-year renewable contract)
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Applicant must be a native speaker with a 4 year university degree, BA or Higher.
2) Experience: at least two year teaching English. Experience in a university in Korea is a plus.
3) TESOL, TEFL or RSA certificate preferred.
(Also preference will be given to candidates whose degree is in TESOL, Education, English Education, (Applied) Linguistics or English etc.)
DUTIES: Teaching university freshman as well as non-university classes, giving tests and assignments, recording grades and, attending occasional staff meetings.
University classes include freshman conversation and business English class. SLE (Institute) classes include conversation classes (5 Levels, beginner to advanced), Writing classes etc.
HOURS: Teachers are required to teach 372 hours for 6 months.
Weekly work hours usually fall within the range of 15 ~27 hours. During the students¡¯ vacation or the period between Institute sessions, the work hours are less than 18.
SALARY: Monthly salary is between 2.15~ 2.30 million won before taxes. (Depending on qualifications.)
OVERTIME PAY: 30,000won per hour.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:
Upon successful completion of the 1-year contract, teachers will receive severance pay equivalent to 1-month salary and a one way plane ticket to their country of origin. Subsidized health insurance and national pension. (50/50 cost is split between GNU and the employee.)
OFFICE: Every teacher has a computer with internet access. All teachers share a new, large office.
HOUSING: On campus furnished single studio apartments are provided (free of charge). Apartments are a 5-10 minute walk from the school. Well-lit rooms include bathroom, TV, bed, kitchen area, refrigerator, hot plate, desk, chair, table, book shelves, built-in closet, air conditioner, washing machine and, balcony with some storage space. Teachers pay for utilities, telephone and water. Utilities costs are low. The Guest House is located near a quiet wooded area on campus away from most of the university. From your balcony you can look out large windows onto wooded hills; use the garden for barbeques, soaking up the sun, reading or just relaxing.
VACATION: Paid vacations: Usually, three weeks in summer and three continuous weeks in winter (depending on schedule).
