Full-time teaching job at English academy.
Canada Elite Language School, located in Iksan, South Korea, is looking for an English teacher in mid-to-late August (before August 24) for a one-year contract (renewal possible).
Native English speakers only. Four-year undergraduate degree from accredited university required.
Experienced teachers strongly preferred. Related university majors (education, English, communications, et cetera) preferred, but applicants of all majors considered. Female applicants slightly preferred, but qualifications and experience more important. Due to limited time before beginning of contract term, applicants already in-country, or those with completed visa paperwork, are ideal.
The ideal candidate is a motivated, experienced teacher (overseas teaching experience not required. She or he is diligent, energetic, organized and creative: teachers will be expected to both follow the organization's rules and to put themselves into their classes.
The teaching hours will be less than 30 hours per week and less than six hours per day. Classes are fifty minutes, with a maximum of eight students per class. Students' ages are from elementary to middle school. This school educates some of the best students in the city, and so we expect high-caliber teachers.
Payment is based upon qualifications and experience but starts at 2.1 million won per month, before taxes. Housing and air fare to and from Korea (unless applicant is already in-country) are provided. Bonuses available upon completion of contract.
