The Foreign Language Education Center at Sogang University is hiring full-time & part-time instructors to start March of 2014.
Qualifications:
1) Applicants must be native English speakers from North America, Australia, New Zealand, or the British Isles.
2) Have an undergraduate degree from an accredited College or University. Applicants with a master’s degree or above and previous teaching experience are preferred; however, any enthusiastic, energetic and professional applicants who are committed to upholding the tradition of educational excellence at Sogang University are encouraged to apply.
3) F visa holders are preferred (for off-campus company sponsored programs).
Conditions (for full-time):
1) Contract Period: One year (can be extended upon instructor’s outstanding performance and mutual agreement)
2) Required Teaching Hours: minimum 17 lecture hours a week
3) Payment: 2,100,000~2,400,000 won a month + Overtime
4) Housing: 30 million won key money or 200,000 won monthly allowance
5) Vacation: 24 days / 2 months unpaid (optional)
6) Medical Insurance: 50% range of Health Insurance Premiums
7) Pension: the university will match your pension according to your salary (Some countries have different regulations. Please see the National Pension Office. )
8) Severance Pay: according to Korean National Laws, the average of 3 months salary upon completion of one year contract

Step 2 – Interview and demonstration:
Only the candidates who have passed the evaluation in Step 1 will be given individual notice by January 21. Candidates selected for an interview will need to supply the following additional documents at the time of the interview.
1) Original University Diploma(s) & Transcript(s)
2) Notarized copy of University Diploma(s) (Copy with the Apostille stamp and/or a notarized copy from the Korean embassy in your home country
3) Relevant certificates
4) Original Passport ID & Registration Card (if applicable; not needed for candidates applying from abroad)
5) Notarized National Criminal Background Report copy (*MUST be ready by time of interview and notarized with Apostille stamp or by home country’s embassy in Korea)By January 29, FLEC will give individual notice only to the final applicants who pass Step 2.
