Visiting Professor, Pusan National University, March 2014



Pusan National University is seeking native English speaking candidates to join the Global English Program. Global English is a prerequisite course for all PNU students for graduation.
< Qualifications >
Degree: Masters Degree or higher
Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of three years of documented and verifiable teaching experience, preferably at the university level.
Applicants must currently be residing in the Republic of Korea with all visa requirements met and documentation must be currently valid. Candidates should provide proof to Pusan National University that they have completed this process prior to the interview. Position: Visiting Professor
Salary: 2.2 million won/month w/Masters for 12 class hours/week
Teaching Hours: Typically 4 hours/day; 4 days/week (regular semesters), 4 hours/day(summer & winter breaks); Maximum 18¢¦25 hours per week. Overtime pay is provided.
Vacation: Approximately 2-3 months per academic year
Housing: Professors may reside in an on-campus apartment or be provided with an off-campus housing allowance of 300,000won/month
Supplementary Conditions: One-way return air ticket; national medical insurance; severance packet. Upon completion of the contract, a severance of one month's base salary will be remunerated.
Documents: During the interview, you will be required to provide original copies of your university diplomas for your Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate (if applicable) degrees, your passport, Korean Alien Registration Card, career certificate, and sealed transcripts for your schools.
