DOCS English Academy, located in Cheolsan (Cheolsan Station, Line #7) is currently accepting applications for several English Instructor positions (immediate placement) at its new location. We are a family owned and operated institution with nearly two decades of experience dedicated to the education and care of our local Korean youth. We believe that our school offers the chance for our students to grow as members of a modern, global society through language learning and that both our Native English Instructors and our Korean Teaching Faculty are key components to meaningful intercultural and communicative growth.
We are looking for bright, enthusiastic and caring individuals to teach and inspire young English learners.
Ideal applicants are those that have experience and a desire to motivate students and create a nurturing and effective learning environment. In exchange, instructors can expect to work in a great teaching environment with excellent resources and support available and gain international experience working with students of a variety of ages.
Benefits:
• Salary: 2.2 - 2.4 million KRW (depending on experience) + housing utilities paid for
• Severance Pay: Equal to 1 month’s salary, payable upon completion of contract
• Airfare: Roundtrip airfare reimbursement between nearest major airport in home country to Seoul, South Korea
• Housing: Single apartment, partially furnished
• Health Insurance: Participation in National Health Insurance plan (50% paid by employer)
• National Pension plan participation
Working Hours:
11:00 a.m. ~ 12:15 p.m. (Morning Kindy)
-Lunch- (Teachers are expected to return from lunch at 1:15 p.m. every day)
1:30 p.m. ~ 2:50 p.m. (Afternoon Kindy)
3:00 p.m. ~ 7:50 p.m. (Elementary, M/W/F)
3:00 p.m. ~ 8:30 p.m. (Elementary and Middle School, T/TH)
Note: Our new Kindergarten facility/program is scheduled to launch within the next 6 months, which could impact this schedule. Potential new schedule after Kindy launch will most likely be 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day)
Responsibilities:
• Work with management, faculty, and staff to create, and implement, and follow appropriate English language lesson plans and curricula
• Teach with enthusiasm, passion, and positivity to help make English language activities fun and interesting for your students
• Arrive on time and in good health for scheduled working hours, and preserve an open line of communication with management and administration if problems occur
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude and appearance when at work
