Busan University of Foreign Studies, located at Busan, is looking for highly qualified, motivated, and dedicated foreign faculty member to begin in the Fall semester, 2013.
One of the sources of BUFS' academic strength can be found in foreign languages and cutting-edge language education with over 80 foreign faculty members representing 24 different nationalities. We are a private university located in Busan, the largest port city in South Korea.
*Outline of Opening Positions (Assistant Professor)
1. Division of Global Dual Degree
1) Major/Fields : Economics (Econometrics / Economic Statistics /
Comparative Economy)
2) Level : Ph.D or M.A.
3) Number of Openings : 1 English Native Speaker
4) Must hold related field Degrees
2. Department of Commercial Relations in the EU
1) Major/Fields : English Literature, English Education
2) Level : M.A.
3) Number of Openings : 1 English Native Speaker
3. Division of English Interpretation and Translation
1) Major/Fields : Interpretation & Translation
2) Level : Ph.D or M.A.
3) Number of Openings : 1 Korean Native Speaker Or 1 English Native Speaker
4) Required to speak Korean, Must hold related field Degrees

*The Details of Opening Positions
1. Division of Global Dual Degree
*Qualifications
-Applicants MUST have a Master's Degree or higher.
-Applicants MUST hold related field degrees
-Applicants MUST have at least two years of teaching or research experience in a University Level.
(One year teaching or research experience will be acceptable if you hold Ph.D. degree)
*Period of Employment : September 1, 2013 - August 31, 2014 (Renewable)
*Salary
-Master's degree holders: 28,808,000 won per annum / Required teaching 12 hours per week
-Ph.D. degree holders: 35,004,000 won per annum / Required teaching 9 hours per week
-Overtime payment will be made teaching more than required hours
*Benefits
1)Housing Options(Choose One)
-A partially furnished UNSHARED apartment or One-room Studio will be provided
-Housing allowance 300,000 won per month.
2) Basic Medical Coverage provided through National Health Insurance
3) Transportation : A successful candidate hired directly from overseas (Overseas hiring) will be offered one way airfare between the point of hiring and Busan or a return airfare from China/Japan to Busan for the purpose of obtaining a Working Visa(E-1).
