Full-time Professor Position - Chungju, Korea

The English Department of Konkuk University Glocal Campus(Chungju) is seeking a full-time English Professor to teach English conversation, composition, presentation course and additional English electives.
Job Title:
Assistant (or) Associate Professor (1 year contract, renewable)
Qualifications:
- Native speakers of English with a Master's degree or Ph.D. in any of the following subjects: English, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, CALL/Educational Technology and other language related degrees.
- 2 years of teaching experience at the university level required
Professor Duties: Teach the minimum of 12 hours per week (credit program) for two semesters.
The minimum teaching hours can be adjusted to 15 hours per year for the applicant with Ph.D. in the above fields.
Salary and Benefits:
- Annual salary is between 33,000,000 ~ 40,000,000 won (with Ph.D. it can go up to 50,000,000 won)
- Overtime fee 24,200 won per hour beyond the minimum hours
- approximately 5 month paid vacation per year
- Off campus single housing
- Subscription for Korean teachers pension
- Subscription for national health insurance
- Group insurance (safety)
- Moving expense up to 2 million won given after the initial appointment
- Large office shared with one other professor
- A research paper ¡°subsidy¡± worth 1 million to 2 million won is given according to the Impact Factor (IF) per SCI or SCIE-level research paper (main author)
Start of Employment: August 26, 2013
Contract Period: 1 academic year, renewable upon mutual agreement
