International Faculty at Gimcheon University
1. Position Openings
A. Position: Assistant Professor(International Faculty)
B. Subject Taught: General Curriculum English Conversation
C. Teaching Hours: 9 Hours/week(Two consecutive days, No overtime pay)
D. Salary: 1.8 million won(Basic Salary-Negotiable)
E. Starting Date: March 1, 2014
F. Contract Period: 1 Year
(Renewable based on performance evaluation: Administrative Body, Faculty, Student)
2. Benefits
A. Severance Pay: 2 Million won(at the end of the full contract period, 12 months)
B. Pension: 50% paid by Gimcheon University(Based on the laws of the Republic of Korea, Faculty members must join the Korea Teacher’s Pension)
C. Health Insurance: 50% paid by Gimcheon University
D. Paid vacation during summer and winter(about 10 weeks each)
E. Housing & Travel Expenses: 200,000 won/month
3. Qualifications
A. English native speaker(Especially, Bilingual Korean-English Languages)
B. B.A. with 4 years of experience OR M.A. with 2 years of experience
C. E-2(or F) visa holders are preferred
- Experience at the university level is strongly preferred.
- Hakwon experience and EPIK/TaLK experience will not be factored into the candidate’s total years of teaching experience.
