Full-time Faculty Positions: Open Invitation - Busan, Korea

Kyungsung University, one of the top universities in Busan, is currently inviting assistant professor (Non-tenure track position) to apply for the following non-tenure track positions starting on March 1, 2014 as follows.
Kyungsung University is located near Gwangalli Beach in Busan. It accommodates about 14 thousand students. Until now, over 50 foreign professors demonstrate a superb level of competence for teaching students.
1. Subject Areas
o Position : Assistant Professor (Non-tenure track full-time position)
o Department : Department of English Language & Literature

o Field of Specialization : English Linguistics, English Literature or English Language Teaching
o Minimum Qualifications(Eligibility) : A Master's degree or higher
2. Qualifications
a) Applicants must commence to work on March 1, 2014 with a valid visa, otherwise the appointment shall be rescinded.
b) Applicants must hold the minimum specified degree or higher in the designated field of specialization.
o Applicants should have a B.A. degree in English Language(Linguistics), English literature or English language teaching.
o Master's degree holders should also have over 2 years of English language teaching experience at universities.
c) Preference is given to those with both B.A. and M.A. degrees in the English linguistics, English literature or English language teaching.
3. Screening Procedures
Screening is done based on application documents and interviews. Applicants abroad can submit video files in lieu of an interview.

o 4 recent color photographs (3.5cm x 4cm)

¡Ø It may be take a long time to get the issuance of proof of (lack of) criminal records, so please prepare as far in advance as possible.
5. Employment Conditions and Benefits
a) The initial contract will be one year starting on March 1, 2014. The position is non-tenure track and renewable after the period of initial contract.
b) Approximate salary level
¡Ø The salary varies depending on experiences.
o Master's degree + teaching/research experience : Annual Salary(Million Won) 30 ~ 36 (US Dollar) 28,280 ~ 33,930
o Doctoral degree + teaching/research experience : Annual Salary(Million Won) 36 ~ 39 (US Dollar) 33,930 ~ 36,760
c) Unfurnished (Unshared) housing shall be provided. The size and location may vary and must be chosen by the University.
¡Ø If the successful applicant has his/her own housing, he/she will be given a stipend of £Ü350,000 per month.
d) Basic medical insurance which is identical for all the staff and faculty members of the University is provided.
e) Severance pay is provided as prescribed by the pension law for private university employees or by the Korean government labor regulations.
f) 9 minimum teaching hours required per week (50-minute lesson) in each semester. Extra teaching class hours and extra activities may be required with overtime payment.6. Further Remarks
