Dongduk Women’s University, a private 4-year university in Seoul, Korea, has four English teaching positions available for qualified bilingual or native speakers of English, starting in March 2014.
Qualifications:
• Native English-speaking or Bilingual (in Korean and English)
• Must hold a valid foreign passport
• A Master’s or higher degree in TESOL/Linguistics or related disciplines
• For master’s degree holders : 2 or more years of previous teaching experiences at the university level
(For doctoral degree holders : No previous teaching experiences required)
Terms of Employment
• Responsibilities
The instructor will teach a minimum of 15 hours per week in the university’s General English Program and/or English Department. This will involve teaching all four skills of English at various levels of proficiency. Qualified instructors with a master’s or higher degree in TESOL may be invited to teach TESOL methodology courses in the Anaheim University-DWU joint MA TESOL program.
Additional responsibilities may include such administrative and extra-curricular pedagogical duties as leading a weekly one-hour cohort group study session and teaching English during the summer or winter vacation (with due compensation).
• Contract Period
Two years from March 2014 to February 2016 (renewable)
• Housing
Furnished housing will be provided for a maximum of four years.
