 SEEKING TEACHERS
Korean Minjok Leadership Academy (KMLA), a residential high school in South Korea, is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time English teacher and a full-time Chemistry teacher. Located two hours outside of Seoul in the serene mountains of Gangwon Province, KMLA is a coed, independent secondary school for gifted students of Korean heritage with grades 10 through 12. KMLA was founded in 1996 to cultivate global leaders by training their academic mind and moral character. Each year, about half of our graduates attend top tier universities in Korea and the other half attends top tier universities and colleges in the U.S.A. and other countries. Qualifications
-Native or native-level English speaker
-English Teacher : Undergraduate degree in English Literature or related fields; M.A. or Ph. D. degree in English Literature preferred
-Chemistry Teacher : Undergraduate degree in Chemistry or related fields; M.S. or Ph. D. degree in Chemistry preferred
Responsibilities
-English Teacher : Primary responsibilities include: (1) teaching English writing, debate, and American and British literature at high school or college level; and (2) being an active member in the English Department and school community.
-Chemistry Teacher : Primary responsibilities include: (1) teaching high school and college-level chemistry classes to gifted high school students; and (2) being an active member in the Science Department and school community.
Commencement of Duty
We would prefer a candidate who can start teaching on February 3, 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Benefits
-Annual Salary of 42,000,000-54,000,000 Korean Won (39,000 - 50,000 USD based on current exchange rates) (depending on level of experience and qualification)
