Visiting Professor of English Language and Literature Department
(starting from March 1, 2013)
3. Qualifications
1) Master's degree required (or Ph. D.)
2) A native speaker of English (or Bilingual)
3) A strong background in teaching writing skills is recommended.
4) Faculty will be required to teach mainly writing courses which involve extensive correcting/editing work with students.
4. Duties
1) 15 hours of teaching English courses per week (English conversation and composition courses and some content courses such as Exploring American Cultures, etc.)
2) Advising students in their preparation for Junior English Workshop and other extra-curriculum activities. (flexible schedule)
3) Student guidance (flexible schedule)
4) Working with students in publishing the Catholic University Forum (university English newsletter)
5. Terms of contract, compensation, and benefits
1) Period of contract: one year with the possibility of renewal.
2) Salary: approximately 3,300,000 won/month (before tax deduction).
Salary is commensurate with the highest degree earned and experience.

4) Severance pay: one month's salary for each contract year completed
5) On-campus housing(One-bedroom, utility fees not included) may be available, if space is available.

- must have 'Apostille' or 'Verification of Korean Consul in your country'
o To apply for this position, you must have a proper criminal record and transcripts which Korea immigration offices can accept according to the newly revised policy which went into effect .
