We would like to explain the general ESL Position term in Korea.
For your full time ESL position in Korea, this is a common term:
- a Round trip airplane ticket provided
- Monthly Salary: 2.1-2.3 million won( about $ 2,000)
- Full Furnished single housing provided
- 25-30 hour teaching work/week
- Severance pay (1 month salary) after 1 year completion of work
- 50% medical insurance covered.
- 10 days vacation + national holidays.
- E2(English Teaching) visa sponsored
To come to Korea as an ESL teacher, it takes 3 weeks(ir all the documents are ready)~3 monthes.
Generally, we consider it takes about at least 1.5 months.
Generally, living expense in Korea is cheaper than US/Canad/Australia/Japan
With the free housing, many foreign teachers are able to save half of their salary to pay back their university loans
