Full-time Lecturer, Dept. of English Language & Literature at Pai Chai University (Job Opening for March 2013)


Pai Chai University seeks qualified, highly motivated Non-Tenure Track Full-time Lecturer for the Department of English Language and Literature. The University is located in Daejeon City.

LOCATIONS : Daejeon
REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS
- Be a native English speaker
- Have a Master's degree with more than 1 year of college-level teaching experience
- TESOL, English, or Linguistics majors preferred
- Should be able to attend the face-to-face interview
MAIN DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include:
- Teaching credit classes for 9 hours per week
- Regular office hours for counseling students
SALARY and BENEFITS
A monthly salary will be approximately 2,144,000 KRW
- Bonus paid semiannually beginning in the 2nd year (100%~400%)
- Overtime pay for teaching more than 9 hours per week
- Full summer & winter breaks
- Korean National Health Insurance (50% employer/ 50% employee)
- Korean Private Teacher Pension Plan
- Shared office with individual PC and telephone (an office for two people)
HOUSING
- Rent-free room (Pai Chai House) if available or a monthly allowance of 300,000 KRW
CONTRACT PERIOD
- Two years, beginning March 01, 2013 through February 28, 2015
- Renewable upon evaluation
