Dongguk University, Seoul Campus, is hiring Assistant Professors for the Institute of International Language



- Enthusiastic, creative, responsible English language teachers required for credit and non-credit classes at Dongguk University, Seoul Campus
- Contract for the 2014 academic year (starting March 2014)
- Qualifications:
1. Native English speakers (foreign nationals only)
2. 1) Bachelor's degree with four years' experience as a full-time instructor at
universities in Korea or;
2) Master's degree with two years' experience as a full-time instructor at universities
in Korea or;
3) PhD Degree
* TESOL / CELTA certification is preferable
- Applicants who do not meet the above qualifications will be automatically excluded.
 Positions available: 5 ~ 8 (May be subject to change.)
- Duties and responsibilities
1. Teach a minimum of 12 hours per week for credit classes
2. Serve 2 hours per week at our English Clinic / English Zone (unpaid work)
3. Teach at least 4 days per week
4. Be available to teach non-credit classes (paid work)
5. Need to participate in work for both the university and the Institute of International Language, as required
6. Be able to teach for one month in each of the two vacation periods, if necessary (paid work)
- Salary and benefits:
1. Annual salary: 2.9 million won a month (before deductions)
2. Paid overtime (22,000 won per hour in the daytime / 33,000 won per hour in the evening)
3. Paid vacation (summer and winter)

5. The Korean Teachers¡¯ Pension
6. Shared office with personal computers

click "English" on the right. Please click "Center for Foreign Language EDU" on the
red tab. On the left-hand side, you will see "Application Form" in the middle of the
page to go to the applications page. Please click the thread titled, ¡°Application Form 2014¡±. A document named ¡°Application Form 2014.doc¡± should automatically download (if it doesn¡¯t, please check that your browser allows pop-ups and try
again).
- Please put the name of your position indicated on your certificate of employment in "Title/Position" box on your application form.

- 1 copy of each diploma of the highest degree attained and academic transcripts (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral, GPA)
- Each certificate MUST be sealed with an apostille (except degrees from USA/Canada).
