The Department of English Language and Literature at Hanyang University is looking for a dedicated and responsible full-time, native English-speaking instructor - Seoul, Korea


The Department of English Language and Literature at Hanyang University is looking for a dedicated and responsible full-time, native English-speaking instructor who can start teaching in March 2013.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Native speaker of English
- 4 year B.A. degree from an English-speaking country
- M.A. or higher degree in all fields
- Preference is given to English Education, Linguistics, or TESOL majors.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience. University teaching experience is highly desirable.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- 12 hours of teaching per week (15 weeks semesters), with the option of overtime, if available
- Two office hours a week
- Teachers will be required to give placement and oral tests, complete student evaluation forms, and participate in curriculum and program development.
- Teachers will also be expected to cooperate with or/and contribute to the departmental extracurricular activities and research projects.
SALARY:
Base Salary: 2,630,000 won for 12 hours a week but commensurate with qualification and experience. Paid summer and winter vacations.
HOUSING:
A housing allowance of 300,000 won each month.
VACATIONS:
10 weeks vacation in summer and winter (6-week summer and winter school classes are available with extra payment, but there is no pressure to teach them.)
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:
Medical Insurance and 50% discount at the Hanyang University Hospital (which has a full service International Clinic that is free for Foreign Faculty).
CONTRACT:
Two year contract from March 2013 to February 2015. Contract can be renewed with the departmental approval.
