Urgent: Teaching Opportunities at Hanyang University High School in Seoul


Hanyang University High School is looking for an energetic and qualified NEST (native English speaking teacher) for our regular and afterschool classes. Hanyang University High School(HUHS) is a prestigious private high school whose students are gifted, well behaved, and enthusiastic so you will find teaching easier and more rewarding. Both Koreans and native teachers are welcome to apply, but gyopo(F4) who can speak Korean and who can teach TOEIC and TEPS would be preferred.

1) Location: search Google Maps with the following information: South Korea Seoul Seongdong-gu majo-ro 42
(About 5 mins by foot from the Subway Station line2/5, Wangsimni - Exit no.6)
2) Contract period: October 1st, 2012~February 28th, 2013 (renewable with satisfactory performance)
3) About 24 teaching hours a week
* Candidate Qualifications and Requirements:
1) E-2 or F-4 visa (non-Korean);
2) Native Speaker of English;
3) Teachers employed by SMOE are welcome to apply;
3) B.A. or above (in relevant fields such as English, Linguistics, Creative Writing, US History, Psychology, and Education preferred);
4) Special certifications (teaching certificate, TESOL certificate, ESL endorsement, etc.) will give an applicant an advantage, but are not necessary;
5) Experience in teaching TOEIC and TEPS is preferred;
6) Must have enthusiasm for teaching and working with high school students and be positive, cooperative, professional and outgoing with excellent communication skills.
* Starting salary, compensation, and benefits are the same as those of teachers employed by SMOE.
