A Full-time, Professor Position in Seoul


The English Department at Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech) is currently seeking a full-time faculty member to teach (daytime and night) courses including the following: English Conversation 1, English Conversation 2, English Writing 1, English Writing 2, and English electives.
Start of Employment: March 1, 2013
Qualifications:
- A native speaker of English with a Master's or higher degree
- An English/Linguistics-related graduate degree holder with at least 2 year teaching experience at university level
Salary and Benefits:
- 3 million won per month (36,000,000 won per year)
- One-month salary as severance bonus at the end of successful contract year
- 600,000 won per year salary increase upon contract renewal
- Subsidized medical insurance and pension premiums
- Standard university overtime is 30,000 won/hour for academic credit classes
- A private office
Duties:
- Teach minimum 14 teaching hours a week (credit program).
- Take part in some official university and department events.
Contract Period: 1 year academic school year, renewable upon mutual agreement
Required Documents:
- A resume / CV with a recent photo;
- A cover letter that must include your academic qualification and teaching experience (ONLY LIST EXPERIENCES FOR WHICH YOU CAN PROVIDE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS);
- Two letters of recommendation including contact numbers;
- A copy of diplomas and teaching certificates (e.g. TESOL/TEFL/TESL/CELTA certificate);
- A copy of transcripts;
- A copy of passport (photo/information page)
- A copy of alien registration card (if applicable)
