Full-Time EFL Native English Professors Position beginning September 1, 2013 at Kwangwoon University in Seoul, Korea



Kwangwoon Institute of Language Education (KILE) in Kwangwoon University, Seoul, Korea is seeking several qualified full-time Native English Professors for the term of 2013 (September 1st, 2013 – August 31th, 2014). Kwangwoon University is a private university located about 30 minutes from downtown Seoul. KILE is in charge of teaching accredited academic courses as well as institute-type programs. The typical teaching load consists of freshmen or sophomore English Conversation classes as well as institute-type programs such as training teacher and intensive language programs.
Qualifications:
1. Master¡¯s or higher degree holding native English speaker.
2. Preferred: Certificate in TESOL and ESL/EFL.
3. Preferred: Background in education, English language and literature, or linguistics.
4. Preferred: At least 1 year of university teaching experience.
Benefits:
1. 14 weeks of paid vacation per year. (4 weeks of mandatory teaching in either the winter or summer vacation)
2. Teachers¡¯ pension and insurance programs.
3. Monthly salary: KRW 2,700,000 (not including monthly housing allowance)
4. Monthly housing allowance: KRW 400,000 per month.
5. Professional development allowance: KRW 400,000 per year
Responsibilities:
1. 16 hours per week of teaching during the spring and fall semesters.
2. 4 weeks of Mandatory teaching during either the winter or summer vacation for 16 hours per week.
3. Advising students, level testing, lectures, and participation in staff meetings.
4. Completion of grading by the end of each semester. Teachers must stay in Seoul until the end of the grade confirmation and grade change period.

¡Ú If the apostate of your ¡®criminal background check¡¯, ¡®diplomas¡¯ or other paper work is not ready or not supported until the end, please submit the originals by July 8, 2013. If the materials are not submitted by this date, the applications for confirmation will be canceled and the application for employment will be automatically withdrawn.
