Academic Director Position -YBM Premier Dongseungro (Daegu)

Starting Date: August 1, 2013
YBM Education Inc. is seeking qualified and passionate candidates to lead its team of teachers at its YBM Premier Speaking Center in Dongseungro-gu, Daegu. Being sensitive to the needs of the school, teachers, and students the Academic Director should be committed to implementing a high-quality academic program within the guidelines set by YBM Education’s head office. Good communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to handle a wide variety of job duties is essential.
Job Summary:
The Academic Director (AD) reports directly to the Premier Dongseungro Center Director and the National Academic Director for YLI’s adult EFL division. The Academic Director is responsible for overseeing the implementation of all academic policies and procedures relating to the Premier EFL programs and classes. Specifically, the AD is responsible for hiring, training, professional development of all instructional staff, scheduling of instructors, overseeing curriculum development, and conducting student placement / level testing,
Working Hours: 9:00 a.m. ~ 6:00 p.m. (8 hours per day), Monday through Friday

Qualifications:
• Over 2 years adult EFL experience in South Korea
• Prior supervisory and/or teaching-training experience in an EFL context
• Bachelor’s degree (postgraduate degree preferred)
• CELTA/TESOL qualifications
