Full Time Visiting Professor in Daejeon, South Korea


Salary: US $25,000-35,000 per year (negotiable according to ability, teaching experiences and education background)

The Language Center at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is hiring visiting professors to teach non-credited English courses, such as English conversation, technical and general writing, and presentation to college students and researcher. KAIST is the world’s known and Korea’s most prestigious higher institution in the field of science and technology and educates Korea’s brightest students and equally capable international students to become highly qualified scientists and engineers. KAIST teaches the majority of classes in English; therefore, high emphasis is given on English language education. The school is located in Daedeok Innopolis, Korea’s Silicon Valley, arguably the most desirable place to live in in Korea with a variety of amenities and lots of green.
Responsibilities
21 teaching hours in a week and 6 office hours per week
34 teaching weeks per one year
Contract Period: September 1, 2013 to August 31, 2014

Qualification
1. Master’s in TESOL/TEFL/Applied Linguistics or related field
2. Priority given to applicants with teaching experiences at science and technology schools, in the area of writing or science writing, and/or using e-learning technologies.
