Professional Camp Instructor at Changwon National University (Part-time of 4 Week English Intensive Camps)


anguage Education Center (LEC) at Changwon National University (CWNU) is looking for energetic, dedicated and passionate English Camp part-time instructors who are interested in teaching elementary or university students during the summer vacation. You could apply for one position or both of two positions.
1. Part-time job of Jr. English Intensive Camp

* Duration: From Friday, July 26th, 2013 to Thursday, August 22nd, 2013
- Selected applicants must attend a one day workshop which will be held on Saturday Afternoon, July, 20th, 2013.
* Position: Part-time instructor of CWNU Junior English Intensive Camp
* Teaching Hours
- 9am ~ 4pm (Monday through Friday) + camp meeting (Every Wednesdays after school)
* Remuneration / Compensation
- Teaching Wage: KRW 4,000,000
- Housing Allowance: KRW 300,000 (Accommodation will not be provided)
- 3~5% of labor tax will be charged
- No air ticket from abroad provided
- Lunch will be provided (Teachers have to be with the students during lunch.)
* Qualification
- Must have Bachelor or higher degree (English, Education or its related major preferred)
- TESOL certificate or teaching related certificates preferred
- Good at adapting to Korean culture, good communication, and enthusiastic team play
- At least 1 year of teaching experience preferred
- Various artistic talents preferred (acting, music, dance, arts&crafts, movie, sports, writing etc.)
- Must hold valid visa; Temporary Employment (C-4), Professorship (E-1),
Foreign language Instructor (E-2), Spouse Visa (F-2)
* Those who are currently teaching at other universities or public schools(E-1 or E-2) will be given preference, provided that they could submit the agreement letter from the employer (the letter is visa requirement), and must get a permission for adding place of employment from Immigration Office.
* A criminal background / record check is required for those who apply for a C4 visa. Please inquire with the relevant authorities in your country regarding document processing time.
* Job Description
- Prepare and provide ESL lessons (Speaking&Listening, Reading&Writing) to students
- Teach content-based subjects (Math, Geography, Science, Social Studies)
- Prepare and conduct special events (Group Building Activities, Quiz Show, Goodbye
Party, Drama Performance, etc)
- Attend teachers' meetings when required
- Submit lesson plans and teaching reports
- Guide students at field trips (Science Center, Wetland, etc.)
- Do student evaluation and program evaluation
- Teach not only English but also various English activities such as art&crafts, music, sports&games, dance, movie, yoga and drama
* Documents Required

- Duplicate of university diploma / teaching certificate(s)
- Duplicate of Information page of your passport
- Reference letters with contact number
- Duplicate of alien registration card (if presently residing in Korea)
- Lesson Plan of English Activities (Any activities such as arts&crafts, music, sports,games, dance, movie, etc.)
* It is preferred that applicants from Changwon or the surrounding area have a personal interview. Overseas applicants will have a phone interview instead.

2. Part-time job of University Freshman English Intensive Camp

* Specification
- Position: Parti-time instructor of CWNU Language Education Center
- Numbers to be invited: 0
- Teaching Hours: 13:30 ~ 16:30, Monday through Thursday (3 hours/day)
- Contract Period: From Monday, July 1st ~ Friday, July 26th, 2013 (4 weeks)
- Selected applicants must attend teachers' orientation before beginning of the camp.
* Compensation
- Teaching Wage: KRW 40,000/hour [approx. 45hours*40,000won=1,800,000won]
- 3~5% of labor tax will be charged
- Changwon residents preferred (Accommodation will not be provided)
- No air ticket from abroad provided
* Qualification
- Native speaker with a 4-year university degree or higher degree in the English-speaking countries [English, Education or its related major preferred]
- At least 1 year of university teaching experience or freshman camp teaching experiences
- TESOL certificate or teaching related certificates

* Job Description
- To prepare and provide supplements for class & ESL lessons (Speaking & Listening, Reading & Writing, language activities) to Korean university students
- To check students attendance every class and to evaluate students
- To submit personalized feedback report for students
- To submit lesson plans and teaching reports
- To attend teachers' meetings when required
* Documents Required
- Cover letter including location residence and visa situation
- Resume including relevant teaching experience, age clarified with recent picture
- Duplicate of university diploma / teaching certificate(s)
- Duplicate of Information page of passport
- Duplicate of alien registration card (if presently residing in Korea)
- Reference letters with contact number
