A Position in SKKU TESOL Certificate Program
Sungkyunkwan University is the oldest university with more than 600 years of history in Seoul, Korea. SKKU has offered the TESOL certificate program since its inception in the year of 2000, and is also one of the most respected and innovative teacher education programs in Seoul.

QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have:
1)Master¡¦s degree (or PhD) in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related subject.
2)Five years of language teaching experience
3)Experience in teacher training or teacher education (a definite asset)
pplicants who have expertise in teaching YLs or training YL teachers and/or multimedia are most preferred
pplicants who are able to teach some or all of the subjects listed below are preferred (Teaching Young Learners and/or Using Multimedia in Teaching)

POSITION OVERVIEW
This is an Assistant Professor position for native speakers only.
This position is based on yearly contract (Contract starting date: Feb. 1st, 2014)
A TESOL professor is expected to:
1)teach pre-service and in-service teachers of English
2)teach Monday ¡V Thursday, 15 contract hours a week plus possible paid overtime
3)teach two 19-week semesters a year
4)teach both in morning and evening sessions for two-three days a week
5)attend bi-weekly meetings with faculty members and have office hours
6)work closely with the TESOL faculty and directors on curriculum development and overall program development
7)teach subjects in both programs: SKKU TESOL, SKKU YL TESOL
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
1)Competitive salary commensurate with experience
2)Medical insurance and pension
3)One month bonus payment upon completion of 12 month contract
4)Individual office
5)Housing is provided only for the newly arrivals who come to Korea for the first time
6)Approximately 43,000,000 KRW per year or up
7)Vacation Period: end of June to early-August/ end of December to early-February
