Chung]Ang University English Program Assistant Professor Positions in Seoul, Korea

ENGLISH PROGRAM ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
POSITION AVAILABLE: Assistant Professor of English Program in the College of Liberal Education of Chung]Ang University. This position is a full]time, biannually renewable contract assignment, which includes regular teaching of speech and writing courses.
STARTING DATE: March/01/2014
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess a Master's degree or more, from an accredited institution, in humanities and social sciences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Teacherfs credential, CELTA, RSA certificate
2. Experience in teaching college English courses in Korean or other Asian colleges.
3. English related majors are preferred.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
1. Teach English courses at various skill levels for a minimum of 18 hours per week during spring and fall semesters. Full]time instructors may teach additional hours for additional pay during regular semesters as well as summer and winter sessions.
2. Participate in curriculum development, the evaluation and revision of courses, course materials, instructional methods, self]study, program review and master plan.
3. Serve on English Program Committees.
4. Advise students on academic matters.
COMPENSATION: Annual salary at 35,000,000 Won (approximately $32,000 based upon
the foreign exchange rate 1,100 Won per 1 dollar). Fringe benefits package includes housing fee (500,000 Won per month) plus subsidized medical insurance and pension.

Upon receiving all the necessary documents by submission deadline, the English
Program committee will begin the reviewing process of all applications.
Only the applicants who are eligible for interview will be contacted from the English Program committee. Interviews will be arranged during the first week of December 2013 by invitation only.
The CEP office will individually contact with hiring candidates by the first week of December. Upon accepting the offer, the candidates should submit the document for E1 or E2 visa by the fourth week of December (The due date is TBA). Especially for E2 visa, Apostille of your degree award and Apostille of Criminal Background Record are required to submit.
The University will employ only instructors holding with valid visa.
