Uni-edit specializes in providing translation and English editing services to academia and research communities. Korean to English translators are currently sought after for the translation of academic research papers on a document basis. The translation work is interesting and challenging. Experienced translators, PhD students, researchers and professors may apply.
This work is a great way to keep up and expand your Korean reading and English writing skills. You will receive ongoing feedback on your writing. Also, you can stay up-to-date and gain further knowledge with the latest research in your fields.
This work is freelance and the workload will fluctuate and be on a per document basis. You can work from your home.
You have:
a) excellent Korean reading skills (able to correctly interpret author's intended meanings)
b) experience reading and writing research papers in Korean
c) an academic background in your requested fields
d) attention and thoroughness to translate every detail of the author's intended meaning

1. Include your English resume (Including your places and languages of education since birth, information about academic qualifications, recent grades, current employment and positions held)
2. Describe how much and what types of experience you have translating from Korean to English.
3. Include a clearly labeled translation sample(s) of your translations that have not been edited nor improved by another person.
4. Explain briefly why you'd like to do this translation work with Uni-edit.
5. Include a clearly labeled 1-page sample of your English academic writing that has not been edited nor improved by another person.
6. List all academic fields that you are competent to translate.
