Elementary School - Christian Teachers Needed in Pohang, South Korea

Handong International School (HIS) provides Christian education for grades 1-12. Our primary focus is to raise and educate Christian global leaders. HIS strives to serve a God-centered, Christian environment, geared specifically towards missionary students, where teachers and faculty offer a biblically-directed, quality education. Our goal is to help students gain knowledge and develop discernment in order to dynamically impact the world as disciples of
Jesus Christ.
Qualifications
-Applicants who are qualified for
F-2(Dependent), F-4(Overseas Koreans), F-5(Permanent Residence)
-Applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree (Teaching certificate preferred)
-Applicants who work well with students and passionate about teaching
-Christian
Position
-Full-Time Teacher (One year contract, renewable)
Starting Date
-Beginning of February, 2013
Working Hours
-8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (Mon – Fri)
Teaching Hours
-20 hours per week
Class Size
-max 20 students per class
Compensation & Benefits
-Compensation: 2.1 ~ 2.4 Million Won per month
(Salary is commensurate with experience and academic qualifications)
-Housing: provided, fully furnished
-Severance pay, pension and medical insurance in accordance with Korean law
-Round Trip Airfare: 1.5 million won per year
Vacation
-Teachers are given 20 paid vacation days during the summer and winter Vacations
(2 weeks vacation during the summer and winter vacation periods) In addition,
all national holidays are observed.

- Resume with cover letter (please clearly indicate your knowledge, attributes and skills that you bring to the position)
- Original copies of transcripts and degrees of undergraduate, graduate schools,
apostilled
- Copies of your passport
- Two letters of reference with contact numbers
- Any certificate and /or license related to teaching
- Required essays
If you are hired, you must submit the document below for visa application;
- 2 ID photos(3.5 cm x 4.5 cm)
- Criminal background check-issued by Police Department of each state in
America.
- Original copy of Marriage Certificate. (The Korean Immigration Office needs to
see the original copies and then they will return them to you).
- Residency Certification 3 copies -issued by IRS.
