HANYANG ELEMENTARY seeks QUALIFIED, DEDICATED teachers who CARE about their students and lessons!
Hanyang elementary school in Seoul is looking for professional, hardworking, well educated, energetic, creative, enthusiastic and warmhearted teachers.
Application Deadline Nov. 6th, 3pm.

Hanyang is seeking teachers who care about their students and are interested in creating well thought out and engaging lessons. Books are provided for every class; however teachers are expected to design their own lessons on how to teach the material. Teachers teach only one grade level and teach a total of 12 classes: 8 ¡°high level¡± classes (same lesson for all 8 classes) and 4 ¡°low level¡± (same lesson for all 4 classes.) Each teacher has their own classroom. Preference given to certified teachers.
Hanyang elementary school is one of the TOP reputable private elementary school in Seoul. Students are engaged in the lessons and most are eager to learn English and participate in class.
Important Information:
* Interviews will be held Saturday, November 10th beginning at 10:00am.
* You will be required to do a 10 minute demo lesson and a short interview.
* During the week of November 12th, you must return to the school to sign a contract if you are selected for the position.

* Contract Dates: March 1, 2013-February 28, 2014; no exceptions.
* There will be a new teacher orientation on Saturday, February 2nd.

Teaching conditions:
1. Size of class: up to maximum 12 students per class
2. Working hours: 8:30~3:00
3. Teaching hours: 24 classes per week (40 min per class)
4. Age level: 1st~6th Elementary
5. Accommodation: Choice between 10,000,000 won key money or 300,000KWN housing allowance (You must find your own housing, Hanyang will assist with the contract.)
6. Severance bonus (one month salary), pension, 50% health insurance
7. Paid vacation and Korean national holidays (same holidays students)
8. Salary:
1) Education majors, certified teachers, TESOL, or TEFL teachers license - 2,800,000 won/month
2) Uncertified teachers - 2,700,000 won/month

9. Summer camp: 3 weeks summer camp (8:30~1:30, Monday to Friday) if required (it depends on the number of applicants) * paid extra
Requirements: (Apply before November 6th)
1. Native English speakers from USA, Canada, or the UK
2. Hold 4 year university degree in any major (BA/BS/BEd degree or higher). (Online degrees not accepted)
3. All E2 visa applicants must submit a criminal record check report issued by their home country authorities and arrange confirmation thru their own government.
4. Medical checkup must be done for drug screening and/or diagnostic results, AIDS, alcohol addiction, HIV and other infectious disease. And the successful report should be submitted to immigration office before you register an alien card to stay in Korea. Even if you already have a visa to work in Korea, a medical check is required for the school.
5. Teachers must have at least 2 years of teaching experience.

*At the school teachers have a high level of independence. You will be expected to take care of your own visa, housing, etc.
